Merge 56 Approved by San Diego City Council

The Merge 56 Project was unanimously approved by San Diego City Council today. The project has been in the works for many years and has gone through many changes but today the project received praise from government officials and the public (at least most of the public😉)

The project hopes to begin construction this year with a completion date in either 2020-2021. As I get more concrete information I will pass it on.

The center will contain a mix of restaurants, retail, movie theatre and grocery store in addition to residential housing and office space. It will be a walkable vibrant shopping center as opposed to your typical big-box shopping centers that have been slowly dying in my opinion.

The project will also connect Camino Del Sur to the neighborhood of Park Village.
